The Kachin Independence Army is probably the most self-sufficient active ethnic militia/rebel group in Burma. They have their own arms industry where they make Type 81 and Type 56 (Chinese assault rifles) clones, along with [M320 ](https://www.reddit.com/r/ForgottenWeapons/comments/1ltszuc/more_photos_of_the_kachin_independence_armymade/)clones and rotary grenade launchers. They have been fighting since 1961.

However, the junta is supported by China and Russia.
