Ein 1200 Jahre altes armenisches Kloster in Nachitschewan, das im 8. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde, wurde 1995 durch ein Dekret von Heydar Aliyev zerstört. Im Jahr 2008 ließ Ilham Aliyev auf den Ruinen eine Moschee errichten.

I wonder what this one was built on top of.
They even remove Persian script from their landmarks, and replaced it with Turkic scripts, they will really delete anything that is not Turkic
It is so tragic. I always find the conical roofs with a zigzag tambour so cute, they are so typical of our architecture. The pale stone colour looked very good on this building.
wtf is up with turks and erasing other cultures history. Like my family is from sicily. So, yes, we’re italian, but before the romans had sicily, greeks colonized it. Italians wouldn’t dare wreck or disregard the greek culture and civilization in southern italy and sicily before the Romans conquered. That is just insane to me.
