Next one is the formalization of Open Banking rules and regulations so Canadians can safely use budgeting websites and apps that connect to your bank. The Consumer-Driven Banking Act was passed last year in June, thankfully they’ve already mentioned their intention to push forward on the Open Banking legislation next year; I just wish it hasn’t taken so long to get there.
It doesn’t seem clear from the article whether the automatic tax filing is only for low income Canadians or not. Does anyone know?
