Almost every major daily newspaper in Canada is owned by Chatham Asset Management of New Jersey. While some individual journalists are doing the best work they can at that organization, the editorial direction of this chain of papers is so far beyond biased that it cannot be trusted.
The same sort of thing is true of just about every canadian-based media conglomerate out there.
Probably a good reason to start a campaign to have everyone ignore social media during elections because influencers are the worse for conspiracy theories, false narratives, questionable leaps of logic and since 2020 (at least) have been shown to be more unreliable than traditional news outlets at representing all sides of the issue (by their own admission they’re partisan)
