Doesn’t this just pretty much mean they’ll deliver mail less frequently? Which is kind of one of the things that CP would want in order to save money?
The union overplayed its hand. Most Canadians are unaware a strike was even happening because they get so little mail anyways. The few who did notice blame the workers for asking for more money for a job that’s becoming less strenuous and more outdated. The union didn’t realize they’re playing against Carney, the guy who didn’t hesitate to order Air Canada flight attendants back to work. Reminding people how unimportant regular mail service has become is NOT the right strategy for the union.
Every time I read the comments on a threat about unions it reminds me how much liberals hate the working class, unless they’re the ones personally affected
