Boom! Big dawg in the dock, make some noise! Heavy charge after heavy charge. Your boy’s going down!

    3. Can’t believe it’s taken this long, we had to keep all female staff away from him when he dj’d at our venue and that was 20 years ago now!

    4. Christ he came to my student uni for Freshers week and he was „selecting“ women from the crowd.

      No way! I’m so shocked.

You know there are people in the public eye who I’ve always thought that if a story appears that suggests there’s been „historical sexual misconduct“ that I’d just think „Sure“. Westwood was definitely one of them.

I saw him in the print works in Manchester once and he seemed really put out that several of us didn’t know who he was

      I was gonna go

„lol, that trash DJ from the radio? what stupid crime has he done?“

Then I read what they have charged him with.

Taking a step back for a minute, I understand that these are serious alleged crimes and people want to see justice, but i’m genuinely concerned about this trend of ‚weinsteining‘ people for historic crimes.

Due to the high profile nature of the investigations and suspects, you end up with:

      1. The police trying their hardest to ‚find crimes‘, even where they may not exist. Due in part to the high publicity, public pressure and the way these investigations play out.

      2. Potential victims A. having to recollect things they can’t possibly remember clearly and B. being encouraged to ‚re-evaluate‘ what happened in light of other accusations.

Operation Yewtree was an absolute shambles. [This is a very interesting watch](https://youtu.be/0iA_rqljXEI?si=8tmWi4jHMYTSCDk7) from a PI who was able to disprove all 14 initial charges against Dave Lee Travis (E.g a woman claimed he reached under her skirt but it was shown she was wearing trousers that day). Eventually he was convicted based on a single charge against a woman who completely changed her story after being interviewed by police from an innocent event to sexual assault. It doesn’t promote great amounts of faith in the conviction.

The longer after the fact you leave such charges the easier it is for memories to shift and for evidence ***for or against*** to be lost. The statute of limitations exists for a good reason, as horrible as victims may find it.

    10. I did camera work in the Garage during one of the seasons of Pimp My Ride UK. I met him probably once.

I have no additional context or information to add. I just don’t get to mention it much these days.

Been to see him quite a few times, an excellent DJ but there always seemed to be something odd about him in person.

The school he went to whilst his dad was vicar of a local church (St Peter Mancroft in Norwich) had at the time one black boy and no black girls. The main ethnic minority were Ugandan Asians. No black people on the teaching staff and the only other black person seen regularly was John Fashanu taking year 8 football coaching.

I think these women are lying. I met Tim about 15 years ago and he was kind enough to have a chat and get a pic with him

Will the last BBC presenter to be charged with sex offences please turn out the lights on the way out?

Or ask the police to do it if the handcuffs make it difficult.

    15. Just like multiple people in these comments I am not shocked or surprised and if anything this has happened too late.

I’ll never forget being at the biggest club Stoke has to offer during Freshers week years ago and all I remember from that night is this creature shouting down the mic „Hope all you ladies are moist and wet!“.

I’ve said ever since that day he’s a deviant, and even if he hadn’t been charged with anything he still would be an absolute predator but this is just even more proof of how much of a disgusting human being he is.

I used to love listening to „where am I“ on the BBC radio 1 chris moyles show back in the day. That helped me so much in the morning, now that all just feels tarnished and horrible. TWAT.
