The government doesn’t particularly care about gen Z because they don’t vote as much as other demographic groups.

>Canada’s lack of affordability, particularly in the [housing market](https://financialpost.com/tag/housing-market/), has led young people to turn their backs on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The under-30 crowd now largely favours the Conservative Party, a historical aberration.

> Youth unemployment has risen about four times faster than unemployment for all age groups.
This is a real eye-opening statistic. When younger people struggle to find even the most basic employment opportunities, it affects their careers and overall prospects for the rest of their lives. Talk about demoralizing when even McDonald’s ghosts you.
Canada’s government couldn’t have done a better job screwing over young Canadians even if they tried.

Feels poorer? Get fucking bent. I am fucking poorer than previous generations despite making good money.

There have been a lot of warning signs. Unfortunately they were all ignored in favor of bad policy

Gen Z also tends to be anti-industry. A terrible economy will ensure they’re poorer.

I love the quote from Thomas Sowell “There are no solutions. There are only trade-offs.”
A large portion of policies over the last ~50 years have come at the expense of younger generations. Immigration and globalization were great for those who held real assets, but the increasing of the value of assets and stagnation in wages has gotten steadily worse over time.

I don’t know how any of the recent new hires where I work are getting by, they’re not making much more than I got starting out like 8 years ago but rent has basically doubled and I remember struggling quite a bit…
A young disgruntled generation does not end well for societies…

What warning signs? Warning signs were years ago.
It’s a massive wealth transfer from the young to old. The boomers have hoarded it all to themselves.
Anyone else see that SS won’t be available most likely after 2035 for Americans? lol. It’s the same shit here. It’s been said over and over and over. Theft.
But hey, millennials, Gen z, just rot on your couches on TikTok or your phones while your parents bitch about you not having moved out and not growing up, not having grand babies. What else do people have to look forward to? Fuck all.
South Korea is a warning sign where we will be in 10 years. No more kids, we will have photo sessions with our SO and our “fur babies”.

What’s with these titles and the word “feel”. Not fucking “feel”. They are. We are. All of us are poorer than the generation before because our leaders, not only failed us, they actively fucked us and continue to do so. What’s that rule about inciting riots on this site?

They because you need to fucking work. Jobs haven’t changed nor has hard work eventually paying off. If you’re young and ambitious you’re light years ahead of the pack.
