      It’s not all his fault, but Swalwell has a habit of under-delivering when he makes these big predictions about Trump being held accountable for anything.

      Bullshit. I can believe that 100 GOP house members privately hate Trump and have told Swalwell so. But Dems need to understand that public and private words are VERY different for Republicans.

      If the files are released, and they provide incontrovertible evidence that Trump was raping children, the only thing I expect to happen on the right is a movement of people explaining why child-rape is actually a good thing.

      I support Swalwell’s efforts. But a lot of this could just be about the Epstein files specifically. 100 GOP members „break“ with Trump on the issue of releasing the files.

      Then after a lot of delay, MAGA Mike (and 100 GOP) finally allows the redacted/curated Epstein files to be released. There is some possibly weird stuff with Trump either being mentioned or inferred based on context, but nothing any more damning than what we already have (tons of evidence that they were close friends and enjoyed the same types of „women“).

      I am only speculating here, I just hope Swalwell is not using hyperbolic language on purpose. The Epstein files being released will not put an immediate end to the Trump admin, in all likelihood.

      At best, the files are released and then we begin the media circus, pundits weigh in, social media goes nuts for a little while, and then best case scenario will be that we begin the slow, arduous, process of impeachment.

      If experience is any guide, many GOP will immediately signal their disapproval of the president and be open to impeachment discussions as they wait and see how the MAGA voters react to their favored pundits/influencers/Fox news.

      Edit: there is one possible other outcome and that is that the Epstein files release have clear and incontrovertibly disgusting proof of DT’s participation. I consider this to be a very low probability. I think Bondi would rather die than release something like that, if it did exist. She’d break any law or moral barrier to keep something like that from Congress.
