Trump and his cronies are trying super hard to get accepted by the cultural world and popular media so that they can feel validation for their broken worldview, and it is so nice to see them get rejected every time
First, it’s too soon to give someone a prize for a conflict that is ongoing.
Second, Trump has so alienated the world that if anyone is awarded a prize for this current way they are ending it, it will explicitly not be him. They will give it to some underling or an Egyptian or some other world leader who was tangentially involved. Not Trump.

They should introduce a rule that nobody can receive the peace prize if they have ever suggested themselves getting the peace prize.

Based on a recent glance at the Nobel Prize FAQ, I did get the feeling that speaking about the prizes or people talking openly about giving nominations to someone was considered unclassy by the committee, especially for the Peace Prize and when you are talking about giving a nomination to a world leader you are clearly trying to flatter.
They could solve this problem by only awarding this prize posthumously. Would have saved them from a number of embarrassing awards (Obama, Abiy Ahmed) that have boxed them into even considering a trump nomination.
Why are we even talking about this? It is utterly ridiculous. He did nothing to make the world a better place.
On the other hand, the Nobel Price for Obama was a mistake as well. And it showed that the committee is susceptible to considerations that should be foreign to determining the winner.

Trump is a demented clown. The entire world knows this. The entire world is laughing at Trump. There is no way trump will ever be awarded a Nobel prize for anything.

He promised to sort out Israel/Gaza on day one of his presidency and instead gave Netanyahu a free rein to obliterate the Gaza strip and kills tens of thousands more people, to add to that Trump suggested relocating all Gazans and turning the place into a holiday resort. Now Trump is saying enough and trying to broker a peace deal. He’s too late to claim any credit.
Giving him the Nobel Peace Prize will tarnish the award for all previous winners (bar Kissinger and one or two others) and discredit those who’ve done more and will do more to end wars.
The idea that he could be nominated is silly, the idea of him being awarded the prize is downright ridiculous.
As much as I like Obama (as a non US citizen) him receiving the Nobel Peace prize was a mistake.
That was the original sin for this whole mess.
The Trump administration is going to create their own ‚Trump International Peace Prize‘ and guess who gets the first award? It’s how he ‚wins‘ all the club championships at his golf clubs.
