one in five people have chronic pain…this is 2025. Its interesting how little we understand how important the role of the brain is and how hormonal shifts affect the brain. but ooops no research is done on women 55+ even in vaccine trials. please prove me wrong. this was according to oxford recently. what I’m saying is that’s too much of the population suffering and we have tools and technology to figure this out.

The article cuts off with a paywall after saying this;
„Mice with persistent pain were also deprived of food or water or exposed to a frightening stimulus, such as a component of bobcat urine. In each case, the animals’ behaviour and neural activity suggested that their persistent pain had been reduced.“
So, are we saying I just need to feel like my life is in danger to reset my pain? Because I’ve tried (accidentally) that and it didn’t work. In fact, the tension made my pain worse. A Halloween fright night would probably have me throwing out my back…. I know I’m being reductive…but where’s the science???
