Yes, Carney is right. Canada and the US are very coordinated in their resentment towards a malignant narcissistic sociopathic grifter who has single-handedly destroyed over 150 years of cooperation, friendship, and collaboration between the two great neighbors.

I don’t get Carney’s recent statements. First, he said that Canada is going to get a better deal and now he’s talking about how the USA and Canada are coordinated. If Trump drops a new tariff on us, Carney is going to look like he was played for a fool by Trump. It’s a very high-risk strategy for little potential reward and it baffles me.

We have the lowest tariff rate than anyone … no thanks to the current governments of either country.
It’s really „nice“ to know we’re coordinated with the country „joking“ about a „merger“ while falling into chaos. Are we coordinated about scrapping our auto and steel industries? I mean, probably not.
Although it could be worse. Right? I guess this is meant to be comforting to business interests, although I’m not sure how much I buy it. This comes off as cope.

Talk like this feels like something good happened at that meeting but on the other hand, im sure Carney is used to dealing with competent people and not unhinged narcissists so im not super confident in his read of Trump here. I guess we’ll see.

Just be sure to include unlimited poutine in any deal with trump so he’ll have a heart attack before he gets around to stabbing us in the back.
