super slippery slope my dudes. Yeah, sure, intense situations sometimes call for drastic actions, but tbh if they pass this, we’re just inchin‘ towards a full-on, no-holds-barred police state.

Are they going to allow them to use their service weapons to shoot them down? I read the article and it looks like police could deal with drones at “tree level”. Not sure what that will mean in reality as trees are not necessarily uniform in size and some can be quite large. But my big concern is even at tree level, what if the police miss. It happens. Bullets that go up must come down, and I worry that if a police officer tries to shoot one down, and misses… some innocent civilian will be hit

See how far the west is behind. In Russia they do this no questions, part of good policing. In fascists Germany this will inevitably lead to the police doing bad things to its people.

Surprised they don’t have a existing generic law that allows them to act in support of public safety and civil aviation

The drones at tree level are not the drones to be concerned about?! Or am I tripping?
