MAGA farmers love free handouts.

Maga supporters being true hypocrites, depending on china for your business yet putting trump into office again. You get what you sow.

I wonder if the reason why other countries retaliate is a total mystery to MAGA supporters – only *we* can dictate terms, how could they possibly do the same back to us? Or is hoping that they would even ask themselves that question too much to expect?

And guess what stock market is up again. Ww3 could start and nasdaq would go +10%.

Wait, this is confusing. This would imply China *doesn’t want* the MAGA movement in power.
I wonder if the article is misplacing motive. Or alternatively, if China has calculated that they cannot manipulate MAGA to their benefit and would rather the US have some sort of stability.
I would think it’s the former: this does hurt MAGA farmers, but I’m sure China has other reasons for doing it and doesn’t necessarily care about that aspect. I’m sure they *realize* it, but I doubt it was their motivation.

This has been the topic of a few podcasts. Soybeans are essentially worthless now. They’re stockpiling hoping they’ll be worth something someday.

The crazy part is that the farmers will rejoice this, but I wonder if they fail to realize that the business is likely gone forever. They will have to switch to something else to farm. China will likely not be coming back if all their needs are met from other resources.

They can sell their farms to some billionaires for scrap, how about that?

It’s times like these when I love to reference the book „what’s the matter with Kansas?“ Which basically addresses why that States constituents have consistently voted against their best socioeconomic interests because of religious beliefs. It was published in 2004. Much of my family in western Kansas have soy in the ground, but will likely blame their poor returns on the Clinton’s or some shit like that.

US farmers likely some of the most anti hands out group of people in the world until the very moment their anti everything hits them right in the back.

The Chinese can eat cockroaches instead of soybeans, and American farmers can sell soybeans to someone else. I don’t see a problem. Soy is protein, and a third of the world’s population is starving.

basically calling them bunch of soyboys that they are.

I have a feeling that the intersection of MAGA supporters and people who eat soy is relatively small.
