Last week in response to an F-35 question, Carney answered by talking about the benefits of building domestic defense production capacity.

This week Fuhr is talking about the benefits of operating a mixed fleet.

Sure seems like we’re going to be building some Gripens.

Annoying as it is, F-35 is our only real option for fighter jets. Need them for NORAD and too expensive to run a split fleet. We gotta eat it and move on.

Realistically we’ve also got to go with US for a few other platforms like HIMARS.

Where we can/should diversify is everywhere else. Submarines, drones, tactical lift etc… all have viable suppliers from our European/Asian allies.

I wonder if Liberal supporters know they’re being made fools. Since this „review“ was announced, infrastructure and training plans for the F35 have continued full steam ahead.

liberals in a tough spot – they have to balanced keeping up the anger at the US to satisfy their base but they also cant afford to not try and deal with the US since our entire economy and security as a country depends on it

curious how carney will try and sell whatever deal he makes with trump to the liberal voters
