    1. >And for the second time in a week, the president seemed intent on turning his armed forces against half of the country.

*Outwardly* intent. He’s always intent on this, there is no first or second or third time, in reality.

I also don’t think the reality is that he only wants to use them against just half, but that’s another matter.

    2. This is proof positive that the right has absolutely no leg to stand on anymore in every single discussion as they clearly have zero interest in serving America or Americans.

“Trump warned that, “We have to take care of this little gnat that’s on our shoulder called the Democrats.”

“They want to give all of our money to illegal aliens that pour into the country. And you know, I have a bigger heart than they do, but the problem is when you do that, they come in by the millions. Everybody wants that, so you can’t do it,” Trump said, before bragging about how much money he’d poured into the armed forces.”

TREASON at the highest levels of our government!

On 1/6/21 the REPUBLICAN PARTY led by a FAILED PRESIDENT attacked the USA in an act of war, to stop the peaceful transfer of power after a National Election they lost! The REPUBLICAN PARTY with help from Corrupt Conservative Donors/Organizations and Corrupt Conservative Media sent out STOCHASTIC TERRORIST CALLS for nearly 18 months to divide and enrage Americans against their nation and transform Americans into LONE WOLF TERRORIST willing to leave their homes ON 1/6/21 and fight against Americans for a LIE! **THE REPUBLICAN PARTY** not just trump!

On 1/7/21 Democratic Leadership asked the Republican Party for assistance in the impeachment of their president, where even the Republican Vice President that the Lone Wolf Terrorist were looking for in order to EXECUTE BY HANGING, refused to hold anyone ACCOUNTABLE for this attack on American Democracy!

    5. The entire U.S. military isn’t MAGA supporters. It’s a popular misconception and Trump obviously believes it. No, they are under contractual agreement to show up to these things and not publicly speak out against him or they will face legal consequences.

      >And for the second time in a week, the president seemed intent on turning ***his*** armed forces against half of the country.

Emphasis mine. This type of reporting is a problem. The armed forces are not Trump’s personal mercenary force, no matter how badly he wants them to be. And treating them like they already are is dangerous.

The Navy. Famously full of hyper straight volley ball playing republican white guys who love Jesus.

This should be concerning across the board, and falls in line with a pattern of what I can only describe as years of psychologically priming the public to engage in hate.

Once does not have to look far back in world history to see where that leads.

Navy needs to remember that their home bases are mostly in Blue States.

Bush stood in front of my friends(some who never made it home) and I, between deployments, and thanked us for our sacrifice to the county.

Trumps says I’m a terrorist because I think children should have priority over profits.

More like 80% since he considers you an enemy of the state if you do not support him. I am sure many of the remaining 20% would draw the line at Trump sending the military after their loved ones, but then again, probably not.

    12. Reminds me the line from Gangs of New York. „You can always hire one half of the poor to kill the other half.“

I’d just like to point out that this is what the right is CONSTANTLY accusing the left of, saying that using an accurate description like “fascist” means we’re telling everyone to “hate half the country.”

    14. enjoycarrots on

We’re now referring to political opposition as bugs to be exterminated. Take note of where that rhetoric has been used in the past, and what it leads to if allowed to go unchallenged.

    15. The problem we should focus on is the Navy’s reaction. Why were people cheering at his speech?

I wish these articles would stop pretending Trump Loyalist and Not that were a 50/50 split. Yes, 50 percent of the people who voted last time voted for him, but that doesn’t say anything about level of commitment, and also doesn’t say a thing about all the other people.

His approval rating is hanging in the low 40s and they want us to think him declaring war on the other 60% is “half the nation?”

No, Trump wants 60% of the Nation gone, and once it is, he’s gonna start turning on people who aren’t loyal enough.

      Always with the projection

Every accusation is a confession with Republicans,

    18. Openly treasonous rhetoric.

      Aka another Monday morning.

      I’m tired, boss…

    19. Yah know it’s kinda funny to be doing these military speeches while ACTIVELY shutting the government down and not paying us.

    20. How in the F is this guy NOT designated a domestic terrorist?!? It’s absolutely insane.

I know Kamala was far from perfect but I find it crazy that people really thought Trump was the better choice.

Under normal times this is impeachable and removal level.

But we are not in normal times. Instead we have republicans who are nothing more than modern day Nazis.

    27. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Donald Trump is the worst thing to happen to the US since the Civil War. He is that devisive and destructive. He’s the worst president we’ve ever had and it’s not remotely close.
