Here gangs use encrypted messaging apps to pay for and lure kids to criminal activity. Kids don’t really get a significant consequence for doing crime in Sweden so the crime repeats.
It is a very calm and predictable life in Sweden and crime is usually limited to certain areas, but it exists.
Was in gavle for my erasmus and if you know about this city you fully expect this. There are 2 rival gangs a kurdish one and a nigerian one and when i was student a guy died right under my balkony in Satra. Satra also is where a lot of students are so the whole situation was super scary for a lot of the erasmus students. There was at least 2 stabbings in 6 months in the center also.
I would also like to comment that when i had a party the police showed up 10 min after the beginning of the „quiet hours“ while for the shooting it took them 2 hours……..
We need to make the inciting of severe crime with young involved equally punishable as performing the deed itself.
So what was the motive for the attack? Is it known yet?
