Weak ass drunk loser lecturing generals about military readiness. It’s like when the homeless guy on the Metro starts lecturing you about getting your life in order.

Next time they’ll install an applause sign like the ones they use on television production sets.

Now I’ve seen some folks hear some generals respond nice to it on social media, but the fact of the matter is that they aren’t making those posts. Yes, these folks have publicists.

In reality the entire upper brass is probably annoyed as Hell. No any insane idea like a military coup, just so done with these morons who don’t have the experience to tell them how to properly defend and defeat.

Not a single human in the audience respects him, especially after that clown show. He’s every bit of an inexperienced loud-mouth junior officer in the National Guard that didn’t do jack shit during his one deployment but now talks a big game like he’s been in the shit and knows more than his chain of command.

This was such a hard watch. He was so into his little machismo rant. Trying so hard to be manly with some edge. Absolutely pathetic little man.

Juvenile alcoholic adulterer that got desk jockeyed early in his brief military career only to fail upward to secdef for being a world class bootlicker tells a room full of generals and flag officers about merit based promotion.

Was there another speech? I’m asking because this article was posted like 15 minutes ago and it says the word „instant“

Seems less like „loser shit“ and more like „dangerous fascist shit“ based on the moves made after this speech.

He’s trying to figure out whether he has the charisma-with-idiots that Trump has. The generals weren’t the audience. He’s the son Trump never had (sorry, JD Vance) and he’s trying to see if he can impress Trump’s base with similar bullshit. Thing is, he’s gone so overboard in pissing off the generals, he might have shot himself in the face… and didn’t even have to go hunting with Dick Cheney to do it.

    10. Sure. He’s still in power though and can cause a lot of damage to the US. I’m less interested in ridicule and more in impeachment / removal

Hegseth’s unqualified and incompetent existence as the secretary of war, should be disqualifying enough.

Got out as a Major. There’s no amount of money you can pay to use my PL time as a point of reference to four star generals about leadership lol

This whole thing was kind of comfortingly awful. Like no way the generals would be loyal to these morons over the constitution they’ve defended their entire careers

This clown just wishes he was Patton from the movie. That’s what he was going for but fell flat.

It was a great and inspiring speech!  This is the Dept of War!

It was satisfying watching the speech and Kegseth was expecting cheers and applause and was met with….. silence.

      Same with Trump.

Also, that FAFO line was the cringiest shit I’ve heard in a while and that’s saying something

    17. I’m just glad he was only making a shitty pep rally speech for his own benefit instead of having an actual call for war on Americans… For now

    18. Some of the generals were maybe a little annoyed but I dont buy for a second that they support Trump or Hegseth any less.

You see even though he is a sweaty drunk and these are accomplished proven military officials and he sounds like a complete loser he has the Warriors Ethos. It really set him apart in a big way and everyone in the room knows it. Because he’s a cool guy.

    20. Best quote of the article:

      > Can you imagine sitting in that audience as a three-star flag officer—decades in the service, multiple post-grad degrees, and a virtually unequaled level of command expertise—and being forced to watch this dunderheaded dry drunk give an off-brand Jordan Belfort seminar?
