Tories won’t be getting a sniff next election. Although I doubt reform’s stance on this is any better …

    2. Badenoch is an opportunistic cunt and a classic case of pulling the ladder up after her.

Anchor baby born to Nigerian parents who only moved to the UK as a teenager and is now going full on far right on immigration. Sees the momentum behind Farage and his ilk and is going with the wind to hold onto power.

I don’t know much about this kind of stuff, but I wonder if it would be a good idea to push for an ammendment in order to give countries more powers to prevent illegal immigration/human trafficking rather than just leave the entire thing.

    4. The UK is constrained not so much by the ECHR, but by the bizarre way their judges interpret it.

In the first instance they need to fix how the ECHR is implemented. It shouldn’t prevent deporting bad people.

France is party to the ECHR and can report an imam resident for decades within 24 hours. Centre left Spain’s border guards use lethal force to deter illegal immigrants. Yet the UK can’t deport common criminals due to „the right to family life“.

seems rich from sinn féin considering their recent backsliding towards populism

Paul Butler still a Sinn Fein councillor? How much did he care about the human rights of the policeman he shot in the back of the head?

Our people in the north are very exposed to this. In the medium term we need a United Ireland and the ability to secure it internally, in the longer term we need to develop the ability to defend the country from all potentially hostile actors, including Britain, should we need to.
