That show was ass and they did the master chief and halo dirty.
All though I think the series wasn’t great and butchered the source material.
I’m not shocked it’s doing good on Netflix. There hasn’t been any sci-fi with high production value on that platform in a while.
And international audiences are probably pretty unlikely to subscribe to paramount.
Season 2 was headed in a better direction Shame it got Cancelled .
Oh god please no, don’t continue it. This was so terribly handled from the start that the best thing would be for Netflix to start it over from scratch rather than try to salvage the story so far.
God knows why, barely anything fucking happens in it.
Even though they tarnished the source material, I did like this show as a standalone sci-fi series, I liked the world-building as well. Was looking forward to S3 since it was supposedly going to kickoff Halo: CE.

My fav part is the late season 1 arc veering into „Oops just did a war crime by losing my virginity to a prisoner I was interrogating“. Such a great direction.

If it wasn’t tied to the Halo franchise I’d say it wasn’t terrible. But anyone making something based on a preexisting franchise that then proudly and vocally says “ I haven’t played the games or read any of the books“ is going to get absolutely eviscerated by fans of said franchise when it inevitably bombs due to being nothing like the source material.
Like come on basic things like a character known for never taking off his armour, is outside his armour more then he’s in it, is kind of a major problem.
I always felt like part of the show’s problem was being on a not-so-popular streaming platform. No one was gonna sign up to CBS All Access/Paramount Plus to see Halo, but Netflix has such a wide mainstream audience reach, it would always have been more successful there.
How do you take such a classic and loved franchise and make such an ass show?

Really hope this doesn’t mean more is coming. As a day one halo fan I was really disappointed with the series and was happy to hear of its cancellation… only because it meant we could give it some time to cool off and maybe someone could try again.
They haven’t gotten to season 2 yet
Will Netflix please start producing more of these shows they’re picking up from paramount??!! Halo deserves more seasons so does EVIL.
Sorry, Elon. Netflix won’t be going bankrupt over woke anytime soon. =P
