Don’t feel like it’s been that long
Makes sense audiences got older and crave stronger scares. Derrickson adapting to that shift shows smart awareness of horror trends.
What interested me the most about this sequel is the director’s clear intention to turn the Grabber into a modern version of Freddy Krueger
Mediocre movie that did not deserve a sequel.
I thought the first film was overwhelmingly boring. It set up some cool ideas but there wasn’t a pay off for any single one.
Odd thing to say because it comes off desperate and pandering. Why not sell it as a natural evolution to the series- because the story is more intense we reflected that in our approach.
The trailer seems to feature a main character death that really irked me. Trailer editor couldn’t hold his load it seems.
