It isn’t about winning. The citizens are losing due to both sides putting their party interests over the needs of the people.
Perhaps in the future, Democrats will prioritize important issues like subsidies earlier. For months, their attention was consumed by the Epstein files, and now they’re scrambling to implement healthcare subsidies at the last minute.
This shutdown is just another example of the lack of leadership from the democrats.
The issues they are fighting over could be negotiated very easily if the orange man didnt have the attitude I am God and you will do what I say. Republicans agree to extend present medicaid/Obama care for an extra 3-6 months and Democrats agree to a CR through the end of year. During that 3-6 month extension, negotiations on not cutting Medicaid/Obama care quite so deep.
Silly me I’m talking like the Orange man and his cult have any sense and a willingness to do what is best for the American people.
