This subject gets a lot of hate/misinfo online. I found this a very interesting read that gives some context and nuance to the issue. Take 10 minutes to give it a read if you want to learn more.
In my opinion these disagreements as well as the recent court decision of Cowichan Tribes v. Canada are super simple. British Columbia is either land that belongs to Canada or land that belongs to various First Nation groups. If it belongs to Canada than we should absolutely never tolerate it’s closing to all but one ethinicity, that’s racist. If it belongs to the Líl̓wat and/or N’Quatqua then they can do what ever they want.
