Venezuelan oil is so high sulphur and heavy that most refineries are unable to utilize their oil until it is blended with other lighter crude oil. They may have a lot of oil, but their oil by itself cannot be used by most refineries which are designed for lighter crude.

in the 80s i was told that we only got oil left for about 30 years. now, we still have enough for at least 100 years. polar caps should have melted and submerged many island states and coastal cities. none of which happened either.
