    1. Takaichi was the only candidate with a crystal clear vision for what she wanted to do. Koizumi’s reformer but not really position was muddy and I think that’s what made the difference.

    2. I thought she would lose. She’s unusually pro-technology for a politician and has repeatedly voiced support for Japan being the first to start nuclear fusion, so investment in AI will probably pick up as well.
