Meine Freundin sucht einen Job als Grafikdesigner und ist darauf gestoßen. ADF International. Einige US -amerikanische konservative Lobbygruppe.

WTF
I don’t think that’s someone you’d want to work for anyway. But since they’re US-based, I’d assume they can get away with stuff like this even in Austria.

Right……. its on her if she applies for a job there. But no, its not legal
It is not.
Altough the page is just in german, but the job service administration states questions about religion as an „illegal“ question.

Exceptions are given if you apply for a job which is directly linked to religion.
Why T.F. would she even wanna work for something like that
I don’t know if it’s legal. But i don’t think this would be a good employer.
Better run fast and hide well 👀
why not just make shit up? its ridiculous anyway

Did she do ANY kind of due diligence or research on ADF International? I guess not … those are hardcore Facist Christian nationalists …
ADF International is a forefront organization for MAGA Trumpism. I guess they don’t really care if that is legal or not. Just look at Trump.
It depends. If the organisation itself is part of a recognised church (in Austria, not US) then it is allowed under the „Konkordat“. Otherwise not.
It depends. Employers are not allowed to be discriminatory in the hiring process, but if the information is relevant, they can ask for details normally not allowed.
Someone hiring security for a synagogue probably is allowed to ask the religious opinions of applicants. A fast food chain wouldn’t.
So, it is not a easy yes/no.
Following the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) valid in all countries of the European Union it is absolutely forbidden to collect any data about your faith.
It is very much not legal.
However, its also a great sign that you should just not work for them. Not to mention that they’re christian fundamentalists with extremist viewpoints and shouldn’t even exist as an organization in our secular country, but thats a broader discussion to have.
It’s not, but getting Austria to do something is a different story altogether.
This is a Project 2025-Trump associated group, btw. that has been written about numerous times as an agent to export portions of Project 2025 into Europe.
No, it’s not legal! Freedom of faith means also freedom from faith or to have another faith or what ever …
It’s not allowed to ask according to the Gleichbehandlungsgesetz
There is a exception for religious organisations, but there it also comes often to arguments like is it essential for a hospital run by an catholic order to be all people there catholic, even it has nothing to do with the job?
You answer with „i pray to our Lord Satanas twice a day‘ and If she doesn’t get the Job you sue them for religious discrimination ;).
And why the fuck iam not surprised about the blackstone connection.
Why is this MAGA-organization hiring graphic designers in Austria?
no, report them at [gleichbehandlungsanwaltschaft.gv.at](https://www.formularservice.gv.at/site/fsrv/user/formular.aspx?pid=f5e337bc2b724ef9bdf8e1f5f8d15ee4&pn=B474bebfe62fb4e1c8e834e48efe059d2) (i also already did). get those trumpists out.
If you agree with that perfect if not just move on. What‘s the problem?
Anti Christianity is now viewed as terrorism in the US.

quote:
“
There are common recurrent motivations and indicia uniting this pattern of violent and terroristic activities under the umbrella of self-described “anti-fascism.” These movements portray foundational American principles (e.g., support for law enforcement and border control) as “fascist” to justify and encourage acts of violent revolution. **This “anti-fascist” lie has become the organizing rallying cry used by domestic terrorists to wage a violent assault against democratic institutions, constitutional rights, and fundamental American liberties. Common threads animating this violent conduct include anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the United States Government; extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality.** As described in the Order of September 22, 2025 (Designating Antifa as a Domestic Terrorist Organization), the groups and entities that perpetuate this extremism have created a movement that embraces and elevates violence to achieve policy outcomes, including justifying additional assassinations. For example, Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin engraved the bullets used in the murder with so-called “anti-fascist” rhetoric.

I doubt this is legal.
What happens though is, that church based organizations like Caritas can demand a „christian lifestyle“ from their employees, this means no marriage after divorce or living openly gay. See [https://religion.orf.at/stories/3211490/](https://religion.orf.at/stories/3211490/)
#holyshit eher nicht, ein normal denkender österreicher würde das sicherlich nicht freiwillig ausfüllen
I wonder if they would accept me if I wrote that I am an atheist and prefer science over religion
It is legal if it is crucial to the job itself and I‘d argue that this is the case for an organisation that is essentially a christian lobbying group.
So yes, imo in *this* case it is legal
I thought this was like a questionnaire to join a religion, first thought was, ofc, we have religious freedom.
Then i saw it’s a requirement for a job?? Heck no, this is not legal!
