It’s easy for wealthy people to ignore because they can just pick up and move or travel the world while the oceans slowly take shoreline communities and islands. It’s an indictment of the privileged who have the luxury of ignoring our planetary boundaries while consuming and polluting more than those who will suffer the consequences on their behalf.
