It’s all little snippets saying the same thing in different ways. It is common knowledge that the Indo are no friends of Irish Republicanism. These are some of the headlines

her point about rehabilitation is very fair. we cant pretend the prison system exists to rehabilitate if we scrutinise people for hiring ex offenders. i understand why the gardaí refused to allow it but i also understand think it was fine to do.
Is anyone else starting to think this reddit is being brigaded by Connollys election team?

Éamon Ó Cuív was the last decent man in FF. I’d love to have seen him become leader instead of Martin. We’d be living in a very different country today if that happened.
Look if she had been out of prison a while, you’d go ‚yeah she’s see the error of her ways, fine, no problem‘. But she can’t have been out of prison very long. And ok, she needs a job when she gets out. But in Leinster House? Not Tesco?
And she was photographed celebrating with members of Eirigi on her release – so how rehabilitated was she? How much regret?
And it was no minor offence – it was weapons possession, outside the house of a weapons dealer.

Media and most of FFG are scandalised that Catherine Connolly once hired someone with a gun conviction, but somehow the bar for acceptable includes Donald Trump, a man legally found liable for sexual assault and rape.
Seems like the moral compass can spot a rusty revolver in Galway but gets mysteriously jammed when pointed at Mar-a-Lago.
This is honestly why the world is so messed up now. People are stuck on these little „gotcha“ moments when it suits the agenda, to try and keep the status quo, but bury their head in the sand for other more obvious issues. Crazy.
