The BBC understands the victim’s former key social worker Anwar Meah was questioned by police on suspicion of malfeasance in public office, but no further action was taken and he provided no further comment to the BBC.
„A man who „married“ a 15-year-old girl in an Islamic wedding ceremony is among eight men to have been found guilty of sexual offences against her.
The victim was groomed and sexually abused by men from the age of 13 and that continued when she was in a Bradford children’s home, a trial heard.
Bradford Crown Court heard Zulqurnean forced the victim to wear Islamic dress and eat a halal diet and stopped her seeing family because they were „non-believers.“
It’s horrendous. There seems to be no shortage of these types of stories. I feel for the victim – what’s shocking & an absolute disgrace is that it seems the wedding was attended by the victims social worker. The institutions that enabled these crimes equally need to be held to account.
Please tell me that this monster was sacked and no longer working with kids?

Which learned cleric was happy to perform a religious ceremony on a vulnerable minor?

This was one of the worst things I’ve read how the hell do we get to a point where a 15 year old is groomed and ends up marrying the abuser with a social worker present.
There really needs to be a full inquiry into grooming in Bradford. I have friends who moved away because they had daughters – it’s an open secret what’s happening. The scale will be off the charts if it is allowed to happen. It’s no wonder it’s been blocked for so long. I bet are many nervous people who have helped to sweep it under the rug for decades.
So much culture, wow. Why won UK respect their culture.
‘non-believers’…looks like the rest of us are all doomed as they multiply with their multiple wives and cousin marriages.
The issue is the Muslim community just live to different rules set out by Islam and they’re not seeing their behaviours as anything but ‘normal’ unfortunately.
Only the Reform party will crack down on immigration and end the importing of low skilled mediaeval immigrants 🛂
