    1. especially since Trump is a zero sum kind of guy, he has no ability to actually negotiate and utterly refuses to compromise.

Since the felon has Johnson and the Senate gop bending the knee this is on him and him alone.

Can we just get to the point where give republicans bibs and crayons and completely ignore everything they say and do in government? Third graders can govern better than they do

Fun fact: 45% of all days in US history the government has been shutdown have happened during Trumps presidency.

    5. There’s a peculiar form of justice about to be exacted on the governing bureau politik. The obvious divisiveness, the overt attacks on non-MAGA Americans, the incessant and embarrassingly low-class of the Trump administration; all of it. It’s just so much noise-filled ruckus firing erratically in all directions. It’s just not sustainable.

Because the machine is so big and it has a lot of inertia, they assume, with their tiny minds and pathetic inability to see forward, that it’s infallible and invincible. But the truth is it’s actually quite fragile and requires a deft touch to operate with the mind always looking in the future for the rewards of the present.

This alone is why these idiots are tanking everything. They are not built for this form of governance.

It’s a shame really, watching the hard work of the forefathers and pioneers, settlers and immigrants, revolutionists and nation builders, so much history, so much energy, squandered and cast aside into a wasted heap. Instead to be replaced with gaudy, irresponsible, out-of-touch opulence which serves the needs of one family – like some kind of royal possession – and its immediate vassals.

All this insidious hatred by a small group of morons who are taking advantage of the system they have lived in to contort the very same system into something grossly unlike anything it ever was meant to be.

      It’s pathetic.

They’re not trying to govern. This is just a revenge tour against liberals for every perceived slight over the years

    7. planksniffersforlife on

umm… duh? why were we even pretending they ever wanted to actually govern?

The word irrefutable has no meaning in 2025. People believe whatever they want to believe. See flat-earthers, chemtrail nutjobs, recently updated US Government websites.

Push TACO a month or two, and get whatever you want.

I mean, mass layoffs in this shaky economy  with a tech bubble that makes less sense than the last one?

We have known this for decades. What are we going to do about it though? Nominate another establishment politician? Write a strongly worded letter? Talking doesn’t work with these fascists. They lie about literally everything.

How about we fight fire with fire? Every single state controlled by democrats needs to create laws limiting the power of billionaires and social media algorithms. Let’s lake away their power by making it illegal for them to make money off the richest of us. Who’s going to buy a Tesla in rural Alabama? How will Facebook make money off adds if it’s illegal for them to do so in New York City?

    11. Personally I say vote out every politician regardless of party.
No politician is keeping the people they represent in mind
If any normal person did their job the way our current ones do would be fired immediately
      It’s a disgrace

Pretty obvious, they have stated over and over they don’t want to govern, they want to dismantle the government. That’s modern „conservatism“.

    13. It’s been blatantly obvious for some years now but the Republicans are not interested in governing America, they are interested in ruling America.

    14. Republicans don’t want to govern – they want to kill the government – so that you can pay for everything yourselves (and billionaires won’t have to pay taxes anymore).

That’s literally all they’ve wanted for the last 6 decades at least.
