      Not surprising considering that it looks like the Americans are going through something similar, with preliminary employment reports showing a 32,000 loss in private sector jobs this September and downwards revisions into negative territory for August.

      US losing jobs usually equates to American consumers pulling back on spending which combined with tariffs (which will likely further decrease spending), resulting in Americans buying less exports from Canada, reducing the demand for production thus reducing the demand for labour here.

    2. Yep. I look through job postings every few days and even though it’s not as bad as it was in the summer it’s still pretty dry.
