the scale on the right is misleading
Hawkish monetary and fiscal policy both lower inflation and cause an economic shock. The economic shock is the mechanism to reduce inflation.
So the # of private jobs dropped by less than 3% while inflation dropped by 20%. That’s a curious way of presenting this data.
So inflation is down but jobs remain somewhat seasonal? So its pretty positive then? June 25 data for jobs is similar to June 24.
