Yeah sure, why dont we have terminally online loosers.

Iranians working quite hard on Iranisation of everything exists in the middle east. Wikipedia is the same, so does any social media. They even claim Seljuks are Persian (as Persian was spoken in the court as the second language, especially for foreign relations with Romans). When they fit their agenda they push DNA, when it doesn’t they put language. For example it was recently revealed that a Sychtian mummy’s DNA is closesest to Kazakh (there is a whole PBS documentary on that), and now they start pushing for Sychtian language being Iranic, though there is no single written document left by them-not a record keeping civilization, like Turks).
In reality, language determines your ethnicity. The mother tongue has a lot of effects on the structure of the society. It is not the genetics or phenotype. It is all language. And if your mother tongue is Turkic, you are Turkic. Otherwise you are not. I think they should stop all these bullshitting and cpncentrate more on upcoming destruction running towards them. Because the war that was just stopped will eventually resume and by that time they should avoid pissing of their neighbours and their Turkic minorities.

Azerbaijan does not need quora users, or wikipediots. You are trying to overwhelm a quantity-over-quality websitenw8th numbers.
We need people who can think critically so we understand that what you suggest is a waste of time.

They are over 80 million people. So of course they’re claiming everything they can.
But dont concern yourself with some forum writers.
Forums are shit anyways, who wants to listen to half-truths from random guys on the internet? May as well use facebook or reddit for questions.
Its like trusting webMD instead of going to a doctor.
If you really want to spread awareness about Azerbaijani culture, you need to organize or join cultural events and make sure the culture is being lived in Azerbaijani society.
Snap a few pictures and upload them on google. The more pictures of Azerbaijani events pop up the more the people will associate it with Azerbaijani culture.
And if you’re diaspora, check out if the city you live in has any cultural events going on. Grassroot movements are always more effective than momentary action.

Every single sentence starts with “I am azeri myself” is written by Persian nationalist with VPN. They disappear when you ask a qeustion in Azerbaijani

Well it’s a fact that Azeris are Iranic, and they were until some hundred years ago when we got separated. Turkification was forced onto the current ”Azerbaijan”. It’s like saying that Kurds are not Iranic for some ridiculous reason.
If we had a real country we could actually spread this more, which you guys might take as nationalistic stuff but it isn’t. You guys have your own culture, but we all share our Iranic culture.

Listen up, neighbor. No Turkic-speaking Iranian claims to be Iranic. Believe it or not, there are bigger issues than that, but I’d say the majority do identify as Iranian. Why? Because “Iranian” doesn’t automatically mean “Persian.” Iranian culture is a blend of many traditions, shaped by influences from different peoples, and Turkic culture is definitely one of them. In fact, your ancestors were the ones who helped unify Iran and revive its culture, but here’s the part that many Azeri nationalists struggle to accept: their culture, too, has been influenced by others. And let me remind you, Quora, Reddit or whatever you read online is not the same as real life.

Stay away from it 💩 for your sanity.
After days spent on Quora I was feeling myself turning insane.

I know few guys from Urumi region, for a while I shared same house with one of them in Turkey. Once I asked “why south Azerbaijan still part of Iran, don’t people want to be independent, or merge with Azerbaijan?”. he looked very confused and said “independent from what? we are proud of being Iranian, it’s our country, we just don’t like the current regime”. I am shocked, it’s the day I realized that “turan” is just a dream. 😀
