      I mean what can you say?:

      “A promotional video of presidential candidate and aviation safety chief Jim Gavin taking part in a Parkrun event was filmed using a drone a in a “red zone” without permission.

      The Fianna Fáil nominee has blamed an unnamed drone pilot for the “oversight”, despite the fact he is the chief operations officer for the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA).”

      As this is his area of expertise, you would think he would double-check to see everything was correct. But alas, he is very quickly becoming a politician and blaming someone else for not taking oversight. You would wonder did he do the same in his previous jobs.

      Id shift more the blame to the drone operator. Completely unprofessional and amateur hour here. This is basic drone operation 101

      I disagree. It doesn’t reflect on his ability to do the role as President*. This is an absolutely nothing thing.

      His role here isn’t to check the licenses, he’s paid a company to do all of this. Leadership is about delegating and trusting the people you delegate/hire to do it.

      *My current voting preference is 1 – CC, 2 – JG after the „debate“.

      Keep in mind Fianna Fáil has an in-house media team, and more likely than not the conveniently unnamed videographer is an employee of Fianna Fail’s.

      I wouldn’t vote for him in a million years. But this is childish nonsense.

      Having worked in a drone company, if there’s one thing that annoys me, it’s drone operators flying drones over children.  A falling drone could kill a child and the safety checks are nothing like in plane aviation.
