So I know this has been covered before, but I thought the (snarky) timeline with quotes made it worth a post.

Obviously, he’s preparing for an anticipated revolt when he does something even more outrageous like cancelling the next election.

The problem with this article is that it falsely pretends that anything Dump does is genuine.

He doesn’t need to buy into fox propaganda, the shot callers all around him had these plans drafted up years ago and ready to roll. Anything else is just for show and drama. Stop giving him the benefit of stupidity.

This is yet another case where his vices might help him out. It seems like he’s in the throes of dementia but also he has always been so lazy and incurious that people can argue this is his normal state.

    5. Conservatives have thought this way for years. In 2019, I hired a conservative woman as our company receptionist. When we were first getting to know each other, I told her we were sending my daughter to university in New York City. She gasped, and called it the „crime capital of the world“ and asked if I was worried about her. I tried to convince her that NYC was safer than Kansas City, MO, which is where she was from, but she absolutely did not believe it. Even when I showed her a list of cities ranked by violent crime (Kansas City was WAY higher than NYC in violent crime), she refused to believe this was true. These people are broken.

Trump called WWE headquarters out of genuine concern after Vince McMahon’s character’s car exploded in a 2007 WWE storyline. This was part of the elaborate „Battle of the Billionaires“ storyline, which culminated in Trump shaving McMahon’s head at WrestleMania 23. The fictional „death“ of the McMahon character was so convincing to some viewers, including Trump, that he inquired about his safety.

Stephen Goebbels Miller no doubt whispering into the ear of Dementia Don

He’s even upstaging Rubio by directing those illegal extrajudicial murders of Venezuelan fisherman

Even if they were smuggling drugs, that’s not a capitol offense in the US

Don’t forget, this pillar of academia is the leader of the free world. In 2015 I was stunned beyond belief. Now I’m gut-sick scared. Do you think Trump has an anonymous Rasputin?

    9. No he’s giving everybody a scapegoat (the media) for the shit he going to do. ie; see previous fake news complaints. He’s also setting up a reason of disbelief and a reason why people might see things on the news that are hard to believe for when he does start tracking down people and throwing them in jail. That’s why when the news actually reports on some of the bullshit he can say „Oh yeah I see that on my tv too. Just don’t believe it“. He’s advance discrediting

    10. I believe they keep him in a bubble of misinformation. No bad news or they risk getting fired. Dangerous for someone that has no concept of weighing options, just deciding based on what he saw on TV or what the last person told him.

    11. Remember, when he says, „People“ he means „the last person I talked to“.

They are constructing the narrative of what they want his followers to believe.  He is part of the brainwashing.

Bush did the same thing, but he used the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan to train US Troops for battle on US Streets against US Citizens, one press release mentioned the reason for this was the impending financial collapse of 2008. EVERY REPUBLICAN President since RAGOON, has destroyed American Democracy bit by bit.

So…nothing different than any other decision he has ever made. We know he’s stupid and can’t think for himself.

    15. Where is congress and senate ????  We have laws to prevent a president from having to much power .. all the elected officals should be impeached they are all failing us

    16. WanderingKing on

That’s why the GOP loves him, he is literally Reagan, signing whatever is put in front of him

The problem is he thinks people should be mad NOW because he’s getting away with so much. Everyone is under reacting and we’re letting this dictatorship happen

    18. ProfessionalCraft983 on

That’s just the excuse. He’s declaring war because this is the next step in turning the US into a fascist dictatorship. He’s trying to throw his weight around and make it clear where the authority lies. It’s the same with his and Hegseth’s meeting with the generals today.

    19. This has been the standard conservative line for at least a decade now.
I visited Chicago a few years ago. Had a conservative co-worker try to warn me off and tell me that it was worse than Afghanistan.

And we have a senile narcissist-psychopath as president who believes the same rightwing media bullshit as they do..

„So in New York right now, I don’t know why anyone isn’t talking about this but they should. It’s a massive problem, really bad issue. My friend was telling me that gang violence is getting out of control. You have these Sharks, they’re great Sharks but they are also bad hombres. One time a Shark came up to me, big guy, tough guy, came up to me with tears in his eyes and he said „Mr President“ that’s what they call me he said „Mr President, you’re the toughest person that can only solve this issue.“ Arnold Palmer had a huge, well you know. But this Shark, big guy, said that he wanted me to solve this very dangerous war he was in with the Jets with these knife fights. Oh how they move during these knife fights. Oh Maria… Maria. It’s like a West Side Story isn’t it folks?““

Hopefully, one day, this dark period, where entertainment media could legally masquerade as news, will be confined to history books.
