      I’d imagine.

Even if this was ends immediately, Russia is looking at:

Rebuilding an entire fighting vehicle fleet. They burned through a lot of Late Cold War equipment.

Mulching thru a couple of generations of fighting men. Especially a lot of the experienced soldiers that they kept sharp thru brush wars (operational experience).

A severely hampered economy from a variety of angles: embargoes, sanctions, and even infrastructural damage.

Former Combloc nations exerting more independent policies of their own.

In any postwar Russia/China partnership, they are going to be the junior power. Outside of nukes (and who knows how many of those are functional), China outclasses them in everything.

They have started a race for nations to enter NATO and/or security agreements.

Arguably, Russia is going to be much weaker for having launched this war to begin with as opposed to consolodating their 2014 gains, keeping the war as a proxt conflict in Luhansk/Donetsk, and regaining their economic position pre-Crimea.

    2. Even if Russia were able to make significant gains in the next few months, they would be unable to occupy and maintain control over the territory for the long term.

    3. it is definitely not winning, main point now is can Ukraine take the territory back?

Russia is going to lose this war. And it’s gonna collapse. Again. Let’s just hope it doesn’t destroy the world as it self destructs this time around.

2½ years after the USSR voluntarily withdrew from Afghanistan, the Soviet Union collapsed. Though its last leader Mikhail Gorbachev lived to a ripe old age.

If Putin wants to survive for very long he needs to find a way to extricate himself from Ukraine while he still can voluntarily. The longer he keeps this war going, the more likely he’ll end up like Mussolini, Ceaușescu, or Gaddafi.

I would say that’s why they are called propaganda, and not news.
Everyone knows Russia is losing, literally everyone and their dog.
