SS. Trump is launching the US military to cities around the country and intends to use them as a „training ground“. This is the government overreach you’ve been worried about. If you have a „don’t tread on me“ bumper sticker, if you were worried about Obama’s FEMA camps, if you’ve been anti gun control because you feared the government would come for us, it’s happening now. „Government overreach“ is spending a trillion dollars on a military that does nothing to defend the United States from invaders but spends its time and blood gallivanting around the globe to force international trade agreements favorable to to a few international corporations. There are only two legitimate causes to invade another country: 1. direct offensive-defense against direct hostilities and 2. to expand the jurisdiction of the government (annexation).
The law as passed by the elected Congress has prohibited invasion by foreigners, enforcing that law when other Presidents have failed to do so quite possibly involves mobilizing the military and that’s fine so long as the agenda is to expel the invaders and to quell their domestic collaborators who are engaged in insurrection if not treason against the people of the United States.
The military is absolutely for stopping a foreign invasion – there’s no overreach.
