This is excellent. The government is terrible at most things and the fewer people working in it, the better.
Deferred resignation kicks in today, this isn’t some coordinated protest.
this is just the DRP/Fork people’s resignation/retirement officially kicking in. most have been already gone on admin leave for months now.
They were already gone. Know a couple folks who haven’t been working this entire time.

What do you mean what is the reason? We know the reason. They were offered a deferred resignation program in February where they could put in for a resignation effective at the end of September. This was in the face of a shutdown where they would be laid off.
Just because you don’t know why something happened does make it a conspiracy.
The reason is that there is a totalitarian dictatorship presiding in the oval office.

It’s not a conspiracy, it was a buyout for people close to retirement. It is actually a good thing.

They were bloat from Covid. Since it’s no longer a threat, the need for extra employees is gone.
They were probably told that if they resigned today they would receive some sort of severance package or be fired tomorrow.
Fork in the road. They took the payout. Now there will be even more strain on the job market
Read „The Project“ by David A Graham. It breaks down project 2025 into sections. This is their main goal, instead of draining the swamp like they said in 2016, they want to fill it with swampy Trump loyalists. When there’s no independent agencies, Trump gains much more power
All of their positions will run better than they ever have before

Um this was deferred resignation, not some protest… It was sign here to be fired in 6 months with payment or get fired right now with no severance. Its like covid vaxx, gun to your head. Take the shot, or don’t but well fire you. While we verbally say its optional.

Many people don’t seem to know about the Deferred Resignation Program that was offered to federal employees by DOGE. It was offered, first, in February. Not many took it because it came off shady as fuck and wasn’t the „RIF“ or layoff the media tried to make it out to be. Several agencies revised it and opened it back up. But basically federal employees were offered the opportunity to be placed on leave as of a particular date, still be paid with benefits, so long as they agreed to resign as of the end of the fiscal year (today). Again, most people did NOT accept it because it was shady as fuck. And those that have, accepted it begrudgingly, or out of fear of being forced out anyway. It was awful and the media has done a shitty job of reporting.
DOGE has probably something to do with it
This is a result of the early retirement offered by the Trump administration. This has been planned for months. It is not some impromptu protest. Google it, there are stories everywhere on it.
I personally think it is a good thing. The last president who did something similar, but not on as large of a scale, was Bill Clinton.
The best part is it won’t affect me at all and I wouldn’t have known this if I didn’t read it here. Lmao
