Oh fuck man. I heard Poland was saying other nations need to be preparing for Russia and now this. Every day WWIII gets a little bit realer. a little bit more likely. Scary times we live in.

Part of the complexities here is that they are not fully sure of the source of the drones.
They are small drones, civilian class, but not the kind that would generally be „stupid kids“.
They have been asked why they don’t just shoot them down but gave a pretty reasonable answer to that. The drones are not directly threatening, and hitting drones in the air is difficult. If it was actually military drones it’s worth the risk, but as it’s „only“ causing issues with air traffic shooting at them is a big risk. Anything you shoot up will come back down somewhere, and as this is primarily happening around protected airspace, there are people and houses everywhere.
The working theory a few days ago was that „it is not necessarily Russians“ but any other alternatives seem far fetched. Some were proposing environmental protestors interrupting air travel, but those groups generally want people to know it was them.
Seems like they are even publicly saying it’s likely Russia fucking about now, although I am pretty sure that was internally the working theory the whole time.
Time for some anti drone training.
Does it really mean something? Like, hundreds means less than 1000 reservists. Unless the active army is already large enough. Does anyone have more information?
Once Ukraine gets thos tomahawks from US, we’re in the end game for war in Europe, all part of the plan from Putin. Meanwhile US goes into Venezuela so they have an excuse to stay out of any wider European conflict. Be ready.
