Im sure this wont backfire in the long run
Because the US is doing it wrong, they need to build relations through long lasting infrastructure projects to connect the United States to Latin America that would boost trade and relations. The US needs to help Mexico against the Cartels and reduce crime and poverty across South America and Domestically, so that the two economies can grow together. I just don’t know how they accomplish all that. In the long run a strong North American economy trading with a strong South America (Latin America) is beneficial to all.
It looks like what they are doing is just using Force and economic intimidation.
