It’s as bad as people are saying it is, and a HUGE overreach but you can’t expect people to read. The intellectual laziness of society is at critical mass.
I’m old enough to remember the patriot act the first time around. This is in lots of ways much worse since it is poorly defined and has broad categories, therefore it is easy to interpret how they want.
People are not realizing how this can severely disrupt the midterms and elections for Democratic candidates
, since basically anyone who is not a Republican is considered the „radical left“. They can do financial investigations and seize funds of any organization they want now.
Why shocking? Legacy Media is owned. ßocial platforms are the last place the world’s citizens can shared information. THe oligarchs are aware hence why all social media is flooded with bad faith actors. Seemingly to redirect public sentiment toward corporate friendly points of view….or to splinter and keep us from banding together.
If we came together and realized that we are all in it against them, we could change the world.

The Patriot Act, while terrible, was passed by Congress. What we have here is a swift move towards authoritarianism, where the executive branch has sole control of power.
He’ll destroy the very illusion of democracy itself before he lets you see the Epstein client list. They’ll openly put the boot down on you to get this to go away.
So they took what democrats did to the J6 protesters and made it a framework.

It isn’t just that. They can mine your data. If you have a financial model better than theirs they can slap a label on you and steal your ideas and capabilities. It is government overreach and there is no justification to do so outside of you can maintain a majority with your coalition. It is a power grab and borders on justifying terrorism.
And Maga will cheer for it. It’s shocking how easy they are to manipulate into any opinion. Just have a trans person do something first, then copying those shitty methods to turn back on them will always be cheered, even if it’s bad for everyone. For example, all the “language is violence” bullshit this administration co-opted.
And now, they’ll cheer for anything with “antifa” plastered on it, even after falling victim to crazy govt overreach after Jan 6. All you hear them say now is “this is what I voted for!”
