    1. Over 1 million russian casualties. This isnt a small war. Could you imagine if the US had 1,000,000 casualties during out 20 year stint in the middle east? That would be 50k a year or over 136 soldiers A DAY. And this war hasn’t been 20 years. Its been 3 years.

    2. Russia has called up its peace time draft every year and has promised that these draftees won’t fight in Ukraine like the previous years. While this could be somthing, it could also easily not be anything.

    3. What’re they even down to now? Soon, he’ll be trying to figure out a way to „draft“ Ukranians themselves and Georgians. American Georgians.

    4. So that’s what’s been consuming the FPV warheads and all that artillery ammo?

    5. At least all those unemployed refinery workers have the ‚opportunity‘ for a change in career!

    6. One man’s like of humanity and hubris. I suspect he’s trying to create a personal legacy, however, his place in history is already assured alongside the people he emulates. A horrid example of the depths a human being can sink to.

    7. > Vice Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, deputy head of Russia’s Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate, said draftees will serve only within Russia and will not participate in Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Well, according to the Russian illegitimate government, Luhansk, Donezk, Zaporizhzhia and Cherson belong to Russia so I think some of them will be in for a surprise.

Good to see the 3 day „special operation“ going according to plan /s

    9. let them come, for fuck sake.. i’m sick of this war, if russians are stupid and are too afraid to change the actual regime, fuck them.
russia need to collapse at this point, only this way maybe things will change..

    10. True question: what would be the breaking point for russians? At what amount of casualties will they say: „maybe it’s worth uprising despite the risk of getting gulag’d“? I know most of the mobilized are probably from small rural regions, while the powerful/richest ones stay cushy in the big cities, but there must be a point where even those won’t be spared from mobilization?

Or are they too deeply dominated/brainwashed by the kremlin that this won’t ever happen from the inside?

    11. Russia has dug itself a huge demographic hole that it simply has no way of climbing out of. Putin has fucked the country’s future up irreparably.

How are they rationalizing this to their population considering thr military side is such a massive failure?

how many lives are being pulled into this conflict. On both sides, it’s ordinary people paying the price for decisions made way above their heads

What gives the same energy as “special military operation?”

      “Special military mobilization”

    15. Many Russians will die for Putin’s glory, but that’s a sacrifice he’s willing to make

I you were born in the wrong place. It’s your fate to be the meat to be grilled.

    17. Considering the USA has selective service, it’s probably a drop in the bucket

    18. Quick, someone run the numbers: if russians get 11-14 days of basic training before being shipped out to the front + the average time it takes them to walk there with the fuel and transport struggles and compare that to the amount of FPV and Baba Yaga drones that are manufactured by Ukraine and sent to the frontline units…what’s the russian manpower:Ukrainian drone power ratios? 135,000:???

    19. Forcedperspective84 on

They do not care about casualties. Awful.

The American public drives me nuts – but they are extremely stingy when it comes to American Military lives. Even with all their bullshit; I love them for that.

Ukraine is showing modern war is not just about the number of warm bodies. Poorly trained unmotivated warm bodies in Russia’s case. Modern war is about teens flying explosive drones by the tens of thousands. Measures to stop drones, countermeasures get around them. It’s about brains, technical ability, innovation on the fly, and Ukraine is winning that war. Russias only response is to bomb power plants and civilians in major cities, then throw convict soldiers at drone walls of death, while his generals hide the truth from him.

    21. Must be a good feeling to be a Russian these days, literally just canon fodder for some stinky goblin
