

Als Fan von erweitertem Wasserfasten und Daten verfolgte ich meine Blutketone dreimal täglich während drei verlängerten Wasserfasten (7, 9 und 10 Tage). Die Diagramme zeigen, wie Ketone aufstiegen, als sich mein Körper als Primärergiequelle von Glukose zu Fett verlagerte.
Das 9-Tage-Fasten zeigt einen viel langsameren Übergang, wahrscheinlich aufgrund höherer Glykogenreserven und weniger Aktivität zu Beginn. Im Gegensatz dazu produzierte der 10-Tage-Schnell die steilste Ketonkurve, seit ich zu Beginn jeden Tag im Fitnessstudio trainiert habe.
Für den Kontext betrug der von Dexa-Scans gemessene Fettabbau während des 7-Tage-Fastens 4,6 lbs, während des 9-Tage-Fastens 3,8 lbs und während des 10-Tage-Fastens 5,5 lbs.
Ich hoffe, dies gibt ein klares Bild davon, wie sich der Körper an erweiterten Fasten anpasst!

Idk how people just dont eat like this and carry on with their lives & work a day job. Literally after 1 day i feel sick, headaches, uncontrollable hunger. No way in hell I can go to work and get anything done, or be a parent, or do anything else.
Glad you are having fun but water fasts are stupid.
I hope you did this under medical supervision. Very few doctors would be ok with this, and it should be done only in a state of rest (basically take a week’s holiday in the doctor’s centre and drink only water while being monitored for electrolytes and other parameters; even by those unconventional doctors, it’s recommended only for some patients with severe conditions). Your ketones seem to be approaching ketoacidosis territory. Why would this be good?
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Your body will start using muscle and proteins for energy before it enters ketosis, and ketosis comes with the added risk of ketoacidosis, which is life-threatening. An extremely low-carb diet can help use up fat quickly without risking muscle loss, organ damage, and ketoacidosis.
Edit: I have no idea where the information in your chart is coming from because ketone levels above 1.5 mmol/L are considered high risk for ketoacidosis (source: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/body/25177-ketones)
Did the DEXA scans measure muscle loss and if so what were those results?
So if I am understanding these charts correctly:
Using fasting for fat loss/weight loss (I know, I know, my precious muscle tissue) would require a minimum 24-hour fast for the body to use adipose fat as a primary fuel source.
But, fasting during/after exercise will compress that time frame and upregulate adipose fat utilization (ketones > 1.5 mmL) sooner.
Would that be a reasonable assumption to draw from this data?
It’s really cool seeing all this data. I’m also a big advocate of fasting but the longest I’ve gone is 5 days. You’ve got some discipline!
