What you mean? Annexation isn’t an end game? This was obviously Bibi’s endgame plan.

    2. Is the political end game not eliminating the remaining hamas combatants and returning the hostages? Hamas isn’t willing to surrender or return all the remaining hostages in a deal so the Gaza city offensive is to achieve those goals. The IDF chief seems to be cosplaying as a politician when that’s not his job. I get not wanting soldiers to die but I think the plan and objective is pretty clear

    3. Political, no.

      Strategic, necessary, yes.

Hamas needs to be gone, for the sake of everyone, including the people of Gaza who deserve an actual government, not just a terrorist organization who wants to sacrifice them to hurt their enemy.

    4. I don’t know who is right here. But if he doesn’t believe in what he is doing he should resign.

How can soldiers be expected to fight a battle the chief of staff thinks is a death trap?

He’s thinks he’s fulfilling messianic prophecy, it’s why he keeps coming back to try again.
