It was pretty surreal to watch them march past the restaurant window as we ate lunch. About 30 on either side of the street, wearing fatigues, backpacks, and military-issue guns. But it was all performative. They had several guys running in front of them, taking pictures. And the column would then stop to frame the picture. A complete joke meant to intimidate.

The restaurants in the area have already hired private security to warn their staff, as a few have already been raided. I saw a few of the locals reporting ICE’s movements.

An hour later, I saw three patrol boats on the Chicago River. Like, do they think we’ll believe they are searching boats on the river? The patrol boats just went by the main tourist strip next to the riverwalk, turned around, and left. Taxpayers‘ dollars are just burning their souls away by politicians who claim to be fiscal conservatives.
