    1. He just wants peace and to spend time with his kids. I hope he gets what he wants, he gave Ukraine his all.

I hope he can have many years retired and his soul is full of good karma. Slava Ukraini!

    3. Willingness to leave is exactly why he should stay in charge.  Those who crave power and control are often the worst leaders.

Should run for US president. The constitution is already being bent. A couple terms in the Oval office then retire in Colorado with the family.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have someone like him rather than the orange idiot we have?

It will be long before this war is over. Even longer is Putin is actually stupid enough to attack Nato countries.

    7. Who wouldn’t be? I get why some think not wanting to stay in power is the reason he should stay in power, but then man has practically been living a parallel universe plot of Designated Survivor. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody.

Let him take a 7 year vacation and return like the hero he is.

The future of his country is hanging on him. Just picture where would be Ukraine today if he decided to leave. I’m sure he is exhausted begging other countries to help and keep supporting his country. I wish our leaders would be as heroic as he is.

When the war is over this man had best never buy a drink or dinner again. Slava Ukraine.

    10. Who can blame the guy? I feel bad for whoever wants the job after him because that will be one tough act to follow!

I couldnt think of anymore more deserving of a peaceful life after this war.

    12. May he never have to pay for a drink ever again.

Most respected leader in my time.

    13. End of what war? Too many countries are making money off this. Theyre gonna milk it.

Those who crave power shouldn’t lead

He’s serving his people before serving himself. We could use some more integrity like this

Not only has he earned a happy retirement after this war and what his government and people have accomplished, but he understands it is vital to make it clear to the world he is not looking to hold on to power which could threaten the stability of Ukrainian democracy.

He will have served his role. Much like Churchill, though unlike him he appears to understand that a post-invasion Ukraine will require a new type of leader during peace time and will step aside willingly. This is true leadership

The man went through hell and kept his country from overrun by Russia. I hope the country reward him for that so that he can enjoy his remaining time will be stress free.

I certainly hope he stays in office for a few years after the war ends. They need someone with true dedication to Ukraine to make sure the country is set up to stay on that trajectory after he’s done.

You would think he’s a dictator clinging to power based on what the right has been saying

    19. This originally comedian will go down in history as one of the greatest leaders ever. And a large part of that will be because of how effectively he’s dealt with one of the overlapping worst leaders ever in the USA

War ends (not to Russia crossing its fingers behind its back), Zelenskiyy announces stepping down, Russia buys candidates in secret, a new leader is elected, bits of the country and its operation go to Russia.

Unfortunately, as allies are most keen to use sanctions because Putin is still around and Russia has nuclear weapons, Zelenskiyy will have to be elected at least once more after war presumably ends.

I bet he is. Get them through this and enjoy your life as a world renown hero

If he does, he will join the ranks of the truly elite, men who could have been king, but ceded power. He will stand amongst Washington and Mandela.
