      It is true.
      We say „det er helt texas!“

      Meaning „it’s completely texas“, like the wild west, as in out of control

      Can confirm: «helt Texas» or «fullstendig Texas»
      (literally “completely Texas”) is an idiom used to describe a situation that’s chaotic, unruly, or out of control. It comes from the perception of Texas as a wild and unpredictable place

      Yep. It’s been current slang as long as I can remember, so at least since the 80s. Still used.
