    1. More right wing violent rhetoric, as usual. But, sure, me calling them nazis is the real violence.

Where are these dickbags even coming from? They’re definitely not on Reddit because they’d be banned for at least 7 days, if not completely, for suggesting such violence.

    3. Prestigious-Car-4877 on

Wow, this is a really easy article to make a ban worthy comment in, isn’t it?

Magarepublic voters across the country have put these kinds of people in charge of our government.

They look for the meanest, dumbest candidate available and put them in charge.

Because they admire their cruelty, their ignorance, and their lack of moral boundaries.

And that is why we are here.

Making a call for political violence against an opponent, they should immediately resign in disgrace.

Tell me again about the violent radical left?

We need to purge all of these Christofascists out of their positions next year, then put in new laws to ensure there is more safety from this attempt to turn the USA into a fascist state.

The economy will be in absolute shambles by Christmas at the rate they’re going, so if we have free and fair elections in the midterms, we need to take Congress back, and shut these monsters down.

Isn’t this the hate speech bondi just said they were going to prosecuting both sides for?

    8. …Kingman, Arizona Republican Rep. John Gillette…violence promoter, unfit to serve…

I really want to do an experiment where you put GOP official quotes alongside Taliban, Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, or Idi Amin statements and see if the general public can even tell the difference at this point.

You’d think with a name like Gillette, he’d know how to shave.

Yeah if I were to make a death threat to a work colleague, I’d be fired. Instantly.

All Republicans are fascist domestic terrorists who protect pedophiles.

I’ll keep fucking saying it over and over. It just becomes more true.

    13. FluffyPantsMcGee on

Didn’t they just finish telling us the left were violent and evil? I hope people rise up and protest Trump. Both conservatives and liberals need to.

    14. Responding to peaceful protesting with the threat of murder is definitely not promoting political violence apparently

    15. Ok-disaster2022 on

Isn’t there supposed to be a special squad of government agents to investigate instigators of political violence?

    16. I missed the part in the Bible where Jesus said kill people who say things you don’t like ?

American Republicans are really fully leaning into being the Nazis they always have been. The world sees it.

    18. Rare-Forever2135 on

What the eff is up with all these RWNJs suddenly wanting to jail or execute people for exercising their first and most important guaranteed right, and then clutching their pearls when you point out it’s textbook fascistic?

    19. I’m tired of self proclaimed moderates, accepting the idea that the left and right each have equally violent fringes. It’s a symptom of the ridiculous attempts by news outlets at being „balanced“.

I also don’t know why Republicans even bother deleting or retracting violent statements. It’s extremely clear that no amount of rhetoric or even actual acts of violence will sway their voters.

Violence is the right’s ultimate end goal. They just have to move towards it slowly to get the people not fully in the cult accustomed.

All of this takes place while we on the left repeatedly get punched in the face, get blamed for said punching, and for some reason refuse to fight back.

    20. > U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a Democrat from Washington, was calling for the government to be overthrown

Calling for it? Republicans actually, physically, attempted it on January 6th, 2021. They got a presidential pardon.

Something else he said from the article:

‚Gillette wrote to the 59 other members of the state House. “We handed you an olive ranch (sic), and you broke it. Your party invited the radicals to the table and they took over. Now you own them. As the J**s did at Peral (sic) Harbor, Radical Muslims on 911, your party has woken the sleeping giant.” ‚

    22. Marching in the streets is “trying to overthrow the government”. Breaking down doors and pushing cops out of the way to vandalize a government building and terrorize its occupants is “peaceful protest”.

    23. sgtpandybear on

Direct quote from the article: “Until people like this, that advocate for the overthrow of the American government are tried convicted and hanged.. it will continue,”

Alright, if we’re going to go by that logic let’s start with the Jan 6 insurrectionists. Not that I support that but if we are going by his logic then surely we start there. No sense in sugar coating it.

    24. Darth-Bag-Holder on

We need to start compiling all of this and the dems need to be able to get the messaging out much better on what is actually happening.

    25. Inciting violence but execution/murder is ok ONLY when coming from one side.
„Rule for thee not for me“ is getting worrisome.

    26. joshdoereddit on

They should call his ass out on the House floor. The Dems should make a huge fuss about this fucking asshole. Bring it up in interviews. Deflect whatever bullshit they’re being asked about and bring this up any chance they get.
