We‘re so fucked. Pharma will push hard for outrageous domestic prices. And they’re already pretty outrageous
It’s on medicines coming out of Switzerland. Not in. I guess if you’re an American you’re fucked. Switzerland should be fine.
Watch them fold and move production to the US, I’ve seen many people seeing this as not being a big deal, but it’s pretty fucked for us all around, here are some scenarios from the top of my head:
– Increase in our prices to appease the US
– Manufacturing moves to the US which is not good for us, people lose jobs, we pay more for medication here too since it’ll be imported
– Research (could) move to the US as well, causing the same issues as the previous point
Any of those 3 are bad for our economy, and the first two would mean our Health Insurance premiums spiraling even more out of control than it already is.
What prevents pharmaceutical companies from selling at cost of production to their american branch, and let the latter make a 100000% margin? Genuine question.
Bu- but Switzerland is led by the best politicians of the world and our system never fails!
