Uninformed is, put simply, the kindest explanation we have for his conduct.

Claiming that isn’t the case, actually makes things worse.

    2. Trump’s own followers think he’s uninformed. It’s how they’re rationalizing things like higher prices, housing and medical costs; they’re convinced Trump’s people aren’t telling him the truth, and that he will fix it all if they can only get through to him and let him know

    3. “If you want to base your relationship with the United States of America on ’51st state’ comments, that’s for you to decide,” he said.

      Ok, we will.

    4. >The U.S. ambassador to Canada says he takes offence to suggestions that President Donald Trump is uninformed

It’s anyone’s choice to take offence. Personally, I never take offence to anything because I refuse to cede control over my thoughts and emotions to someone else. But, hey, Hoekstra, go right ahead and be a wallflower. It suits you.

      >Robertson asked Hoekstra whether he empathizes with Canadians who don’t take kindly to the president’s past musings about Canada becoming the “51st state.”

      >Hoekstra seemed exasperated by the question.

      >“If you want to base your relationship with the United States of America on ’51st state’ comments, that’s for you to decide,” he said.

This guy’s a clown. Get him some fucking floppy shoes and a green wig to cover up that bald melon already.

These threats have been made by the President of the United States repeatedly. Of course it’s going to affect relations between the two countries. What did he think we weren’t listening or can’t read?

    6. Hoekstra was the biggest embarrassment of an ambassador when he was in the Netherlands. It’s great to see he has not changed at all.

„The U.S. ambassador to Canada says he takes offence to suggestions that President Donald Trump is uninformed about what his country’s northern neighbour has to offer.“

Yes we are aware of the implication that you are incompetent when we say thay pete.

We in fact believe you to be incompetent. Keep talking though…. how much deeper could the hole you are digging possibly get?

Thanks for the permission Petey, I think I will base my relationship with the USA on what their elected leader says.

This ambassador is gonna have an aneurism by Christmas if he keeps getting this offended by every little criticism of Trump he comes across.

I hope Canadians strive to make this ambassador’s stay here in Canada as painful as possible. Let’s keep pushing him until he flees back home.

That guy needs a reality check. His comments are just making things worse. You think they would have learned by now.

    12. He is incompetent, but that really doesn’t matter in the new normal (consider Kash Patel and Robert Kennedy Jr.). The only thing that matters anymore is personal loyalty and slavish behavior to the Dear Leader his Royal Highness Donald Trump.

Quick question… why is he still ambassador? Ambassadors behave with diplomacy and tact. The GG should declare him persona non grata and send him back to the Fascist States of America.
