TLDR:
* Stephen Colbert has shared that he’s „so proud“ of Jimmy Kimmel following the return of *Jimmy Kimmel Live!* on Sept. 23 after a brief suspension
* Speaking on his own talk show — *The Late Show with Stephen Colbert* — the host praised Kimmel for talking „beautifully about free speech and unity“ in his emotional opening monologue during the show’s return
* The episode marked Kimmel’s first since the show was „indefinitely“ pulled by ABC on Sept. 17
Well done Jimmy…… I would think that the President of the most (ex) powerful country in the world would have other things to do than watch late night tv 🤷♂️ Donny could do what I do if I don’t like something switch channels or watch a movie.
It was a very well-written and performed monologue. He said all the right things.
